IWCF DRILLING WELL CONTROL – LEVEL 2 (INTRODUCTORY)

DESIGNED FOR: The Level 2 course is designed for delegates working in roles which may directly contribute to the creation, detection or control of well influx and Operation Team personnel - well-site-based position whose action or inaction could directly influence well control assurance.
OVERVIEW: The aim of this course is to provide a basic understanding of drilling a well and the fundamental principles involved in maintaining well control.
Level 2 is available for Drilling and Wells Personnel Basic Training
Overview. Introduction to well control. Barrier concept. Risk management. Causes of kicks. Kick warning signs and indicators. Circulating systems. Fracture pressure and maximum surface pressure. Influx characteristics and behaviour. Shut in procedures. Well control methods. Overview.
Blow Out Preventers. Associated well control equipment. Choke manifold and chokes. Auxiliary equipment. Barriers. Testing. BOP control systems.
Since 2004, PTS conducts IWCF and IADC drilling and well intervention certification courses and has also delivered customized drilling and well intervention courses to customers in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Vietnam with training facilities available at the same.
